The Lockwood Fire Protection District is volunteer fire district serving an area of approximately 22 square miles, making us the second largest district, geographically speaking, in Amador County. We have two fire stations in our district including Fire Station 151 located at 23141 Shake Ridge Road and Fire Station 152 located at 19715 Shake Ridge Road. Both of our stations are staffed by volunteer firefighters that are alerted by radio pagers. When summoned, they respond and either go to the station to get a piece of emergency apparatus or they may respond directly to the call depending on the need.
We have at least one of our stations staffed daily from 8am to 5pm. We meet every Thursday at 6:30 pm for training and we always welcome anyone from the community that wishes to stop by and say hello! We generally train at Fire Station 151, but that can change from time to time, so it is best to call ahead (209-296-5122).
