Cookie Stevens, Director

Term: 2020 - 2024

Cookie Stevens and her husband Bob purchased their home in rural Volcano in 2015 and were “weekenders”. In 2016 the decision was made to retire early, sell their home in Fremont, CA and live here permanently with their 2 dogs. Cookie grew up as a “Navy Brat” and lived in many states such as Hawaii, Massachusetts and Washington.  She retired from the printing industry where she worked in the graphics department for 40 years. During that time, her and Bob had a side business in Drag Racing for 20 years. Cookie drove her own car for 10 of those years and was part of the crew. In 2017 Cookie joined the Lockwood Fire Department Auxiliary and when there was an opening for a Lockwood Board Director position she decided to apply. Cookie was sworn in as Board Director in July 2018. Her favorite hobby is photography and she has won many awards as a member of the Fremont Photographic Society. She also enjoys cooking, music, fishing and exploring the beautiful Sierra Mountains.
