Clothing Donation Fund Drive
April 2024 Event

 

Clean out your closets to support your Lockwood Firefighters! All proceeds from clothing donations help LFPD afford gear, tools and apparatus maintenance.

WHEN: 10am to 2pm on every Saturday of April (6th, 13th, 20th and 27th)

WHERE: Pine Grove Market parking lot, by the car wash - 19394 CA-88, Pine Grove, CA 95665

**APRIL 6TH, 2024'S CLOTHING DONATION DAY HAS BEEN CANCELED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER**


We are collecting only the following items for this fund drive:

Clothes: men’s, women’s and children’s clothes, coats, shoes, scarves, handbags, wallets, fashion
accessories, ties, belts, backpacks, etc.
Household Textiles: bedding, comforters, blankets, sheets, towels, linens, tablecloths, curtains, decorative
pillows only (no bed pillows), etc.
**Sneakers are highly encouraged. Keep sneakers separate from other donations please. We will bag these
separately.


Non-acceptable items:

● Torn, ripped, stained or soiled items. Items with missing buttons or broken zippers are not acceptable.
● No undergarments (underwear, bras, boxers, etc.)
● No personal pillows, bed padding, team uniforms with logos, company shirts with logos, etc.
● Damaged items: We cannot collect wet or mildewed clothing that came from outdoor exposure to rain or sun.
Avoid leaving bags of clothing in the sun as it causes bags to sweat and produce mildew.
Packaging items for donation:
● Please gather clothes and household textiles in tall, white plastic kitchen trash bags with drawstrings.
● All items must be clean, dry and in saleable condition.


Drop Offs:

● Packed bags should be dropped off at the Collection Site (Pine Grove Supermarket) ONLY on collection
dates and times listed in this flyer. Please, NO donations accepted at the Fire Stations at any time.
● If you have large amounts to donate, please contact Deb Elliot (email: delliot11@hotmail.com or
text (210) 837-3504) for collection or drop offs you may need, other than community collection dates/times.
