OLD BUSINESS:
Discussion of our participation in Chili Cookoff Oct. 6. We need to encourage LFPD participation to avoid running out of Chili, as happened last year. This is a big money maker for the district.
It was decided to postpone the spring breakfast/lunch/bake sale/ craft fair until May ’17, 08, allowing time to contact crafters and to get the word out to LFPD residents by newsletter and notification to media. Rena volunteered to help with crafters.
Reminder: we should remember to sell leftover food no less than our cost.
Jo Wagner reported on prospects for Donkey Baseball next summer. She will contact high school to see about using their facilities, and will try to locate a west coast service for providing the donkeys, etc. Reminder: it would be profitable for LFPD to have CDF as opponent since they do not accept money from the receipts of the tickets.
Still no word about the LFPD t-shirts from Dave Long. Mr. Wagner will remind him at Board Meeting and advise.
There was a discussion of morning vs. evening meetings and it was decided that it made little or no difference, so henceforth all Aux. meetings will be held first Monday morning of each month at 10:00 .
Discussion of spaghetti dinner and
potluck/barbq was deferred until June meeting.
Alene Forbes suggested moving $2000 of the $3000 Auxiliary balance to an account at Stockton Bank which would draw interest. She will advise the options and the penalties for withdrawal, if any.
Carol Tinney provided a list of active/semi-active LFPD Aux. members. Alene F. will reconfigure and submit at next meeting.
The Smokesignals will be written in cooperation with the LFPD Board. Aux. members should submit items to Alene ; newsletter will be posted in August.
Next meeting will be held on June 4.

Jo Wagner will continue to search for Donkey baseball outfitters in nearby counties. Will confirm 50/50 split. LFPD and CDF will set date asap.
