The meeting was called to order at 10:00 am on June 4, 2007
Attending: C. Tinney, R. Tinney, C. Asmus, T. Clancy, J. Wagner, A. Forbes. T. Coleman
Treasurer reported that she will
deposit $2000 Auxiliary funds into a business
savings account which will earn low interest but will allow funds to remain liquid. Alene agreed to correct mailing addresses on
several Smokesignal labels. Report approved as read.
Old Business:
Bylaws will be changed to reflect that Aux. meetings will be held 10 am first Monday of each month. J. Mckenna reports that the Aux. will not be able to host the July 4 breadfast because it has already been spoken for. She will check to see if we can be considered next year.
The Christmas party will be held on December 8 at Station 2.
Alene Forbes will ask the LFPD Board if they will contribute a portion of the cost of mailing the next issue of Smokesignals. She will also encourage Dave Long to delegate responsibility to gather sizes for T-shirts to his assistant, who will pass info into along to J. McKenna for ordering.
Thellma Clancy reminds auxiliary they have acsess to tape recorder.
A barbq will be held on September
8, chaired by Carol Asmus/Theresa Coleman, assisted by Joanna and others.
New Business:
To receive funds from the proceeds of the Chili Cookoff, a representative from LFPD must attend every meeting prior to the event. Alene or Rena will represent LFPD. LFPD will provide Chili, and need to advise other fire departments to provide their share to insure there is plenty of Chili this year. Diane will co-chair with Alene; who will talk to Susie about the amount of salad needed. We need to have our own judges present from 9:-11 to judge our own chili. Rena will provide list of chili donors to Alene.
Still scheduled is the Dec. 8 Christmas potluck at Station 2, chaired by Alene. Discussion deferred until November meeting.
Also scheduled is a spaghetti dinner to be held on Jan. 26 at Station 2, Jo Wagner to chair.
Regarding advertising for craft fair: Jo Wagner will check prices for ads in Biuy & Sell, also thanks you notice in L-D, and the possibility of inserts in phone bill envelopes.
Alene to check with post office, regarding a mailer listing LFPD Calendar of Events as follows:

Jo Wagner will continue to search for Donkey baseball outfitters in nearby counties. Will confirm 50/50 split. LFPD and CDF will set date asap.
