The meeting was called to order at
10:00 am July 2, 2007
Attending: J. Wagner, J. McKenna, T.Coleman, A. Forbes, C. Tinney
Treasurer’s report was read and
approved as follows:
Alene reported that as of 5./31/07
there was a balance of $3162 in the Aux. treasury. She
will open a savings account today in the name of the LFPD
Auxiliary. She reported that a
refund adjustment of $18 was received from the LFPD Brd of Directors for their part in
cost of mailing the newsletter.
As part of her report, it was resolved
that all donations, past and present, should be acknowledged. Names of past donors will be obtained from Brd of Directors by Ms. Wagner/Forbes, Thank you letters will be sent by Coleman/Mckenna,
with apology for delay in acknowledging their support.
Old Business:
It
was agreed that J. Wagner will ask Jackie Ward to rewrite records of the Auxiliary to list
C. Tinney as Vice President and
T.Coleman as 2nd Vice President; and to change time of Aux. meetings to first
Monday of each month.
Report on Flyer: A newsletter was prepared by T.Coleman (see
attached) and will be mailed to residents in
the county. Sam Gardner will provide labels;
Alene will arrange for mailing.
Report on Sept. 8 barbq: T.Coleman will check prices on tri tips from
Swingles. Auxiliary will provide steaks and drinks.
We are planning on 10 attendees. Program
and agenda will be discussed at the next meeting. Need
to determine location of grill. Leftovers can
be sold at cost. Introductions of all ‘Firefighters
present will be made. Notice of this event
should be posted on bulletin board Sta.#1.
Report on Chili Cookoff: C. Tinney will keep list of chili and salad donors;
will coordinate list with R.Tinney. A.Forbes
confirmed date of 10/13 with Litha Tatro. R. Tinney suggests we ask chili donors to
double their amount so we don’t run out as we did last year. This suggestion should be passed to other stations. When contacting Cornbread donors, pls suggest it
should be muffins, because of ease in handling.
J McKenna offered to paint faces .at cookoff. Open
question: is LFPD Aux. to provide salad for

Report on
Spaghetti dinner next Jan. – deferred to October meeting. (Note: no meeting in December.)
Report on Craft Fair/Raffle: deferred until next meeting to hear report from R.
Tinney
Report
on Donkey Baseball: J. Wagner
has contact for handler/agent. She will
continue to try to reach him and get firm date arranged.
It was agreed that there is no need for
tape recording of minutes unless there is nobody present to take notes. In that case, the recorder is available from Jackie Vaughn.
