3. Closed Session Authority: According to the California Government Code 54957,

the Lockwood Fire Protection District Board of Directors reserves the right to hold

a closed session for consideration of real property negotiations, pending litigation,

threats to public buildings or public access and personnel matters.

4. AFPA Report: The AFPD subcommittee wants to know that LFPD agrees to the

Resolution(03302009: AFPA JPA for Amador County). John Asmus responded to

questions/clarified organizational aspects of Amador County Services. He noted that

the identities of each fire Department will remain as is. AFPA will be the

’umbrella’ organization for the multiple departments. Board members want to insure

that any consultants used are both experienced and competent; John noted that poten-

tial consultants will be reviewed/cleared by county counsel. Departments agree to

hold salaries to a limited range.

a) Daryl Ann Dutton moved to pass Resolution 03302009; John Asmus seconded

the motion which passed unanimously.

Board members signed off on the Resolution.

b) Daryl Ann Dutton moved to approve the purchasing relationship through DGS;

John Asmus seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
