Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop strategic plans to serve the district’s mission
- Define critical goals, objectives, and issues
- Manage the district’s property
- Manage the district’s finances
- Monitor progress toward reaching established goals
- Ensure district complies with the applicable State and Federal regulations
- Develop policies concerning the district organization and business
The principal purpose of this district is the protection of its citizens through the prevention and extinguishing of fires and the protection of life and property. May each action taken by this board be for the benefit of the district and for no other purpose -- self serving or otherwise.

The Lockwood Fire Protection District has an opening on the Board of Directors. The applicant must live within the District served by the Lockwood Fire Protection District. This is a volunteer position and generally requires 4-12 hours per month or more depending on your willingness to contribute time and energy. The board meets once a month on the fourth Monday of each month at 7 PM. The meetings usually last for 2 hours. Roberts Rules of Order and the Brown Act govern and regulate our meetings.

Letters must be received no later than November 20, 2017, to be considered for appointment at the November 27, 2017 Board of Directors regular meeting. All applicants are advised to attend the regular meeting of the Board on November 27, at 7:00 PM at Fire Station #151, 23141 Shake Ridge Rd.
