The Lockwood Fire Protection District is located in Northeastern Amador County covering the Shake Ridge Road corridor above the communities of Volcano and Sutter Creek. We serve approximately 1,500 residents within a 22 square mile area. LFPD is a mostly volunteer fire department operating out of two strategically located fire stations, Fire Station 151 and Fire Station 152, both along Shake Ridge Road. The district answers approximately 350 calls for service annually, with the vast majority being emergency medical related. The Lockwood Fire Protection District is governed by a five-member Board of Directors who are elected at large to serve a four-year term. To be a Board member you must live within the fire district boundaries.
